Openly Transgender Character Ruins Immersion Of Game With Dragons And Magic In It
Gamers have been left high and dry today after an openly transgender character in a video game filled with magic and dragons shattered their suspension of disbelief.
Local gamer Eddie Burke explained to Point & Clickbait that it “simply wasn’t realistic” to have a transgender character in this fantasy world where he is a warrior-mage who casts bolts of lightning and wields a three-metre long glowing sword.
“It just doesn’t make sense to have them in the world like that,” insisted Burke as he called forth bolts of lightning from his hands to incinerate his enemies, before leaping six stories into the air and slamming down again.
“There’s no reason for them to be there. They couldn’t possibly exist. How am I supposed to believe that?”
Burke punctuated his statement on realism by cleaving his sword through a pack of snarling wolves, each of whom dropped a full set of plate armour, health potions and unspoiled, ready-to-eat food.
“I used to find this world so gritty and believable. But knowing what I know now… I’m not sure if I’ll be able to lose myself in it again.”
