A major video game protagonist is un-moved by accusations that they talk to themselves far too often, saying only that they “need to find the switch that opens this gate”.

Players have been exposed to repetitive, condescendingly explanatory dialogue in games for years now, but many feel that it’s going too far — that players don’t need to be reminded of what they should be doing every ten seconds.
The protagonist of this particular game disagrees however, saying that they “need to find the switch that opens this gate”.
